ABOUT THE EVENT

Tour Fairhaven’s beloved “Castle on the Hill,” the historic Fairhaven High School, donated to the town in 1906 by famed philanthropist Henry Huttleston Rogers. Led by Fairhaven High School Alumni Association President Bob Foster, this guided tour takes you through the breathtaking architecture of the 1906 building, designed by Charles Brigham. Visitors will explore the grand Rotunda, elegant auditorium, and impressive gymnasium while learning about the school’s storied past.

Fairhaven High School was named the most beautiful high school in Massachusetts by Architectural Digest in 2017, and many consider it one of the most beautiful in the nation. It also served as a filming location for the award-winning 2023 film The Holdovers, starring Paul Giamatti, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Dominic Sessa.

Tours meet inside the Rotunda at the main entrance on the Huttleston Avenue (Route 6) side of the building. Admission is free. The building is disabled accessible, though some areas of the tour may not be.

Sponsored by the Fairhaven High School Alumni Association. For more information, email info@fairhavenalumni.org or call Bob at 508-965-1399.
