Safely dispose of paints, chemicals, batteries, and more on Saturday, October 25, 8 AM–12 PM at the BPW Building (5 Arsene St.). Proof of Fairhaven residency required. Keep your home and environment safe!

ABOUT THE EVENT
The Town of Fairhaven Public Works invites residents to safely dispose of household hazardous materials at Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, October 25, from 8 AM to 12 PM at the BPW Building, 5 Arsene Street. Proof of Fairhaven residency is required.
Bring items from your garage, workshop, yard, and home, including:
From the garage & workbench: oil-based paints, stains, varnishes, solvents, glues, gasoline, motor oil, brake fluid, antifreeze, pool chemicals, and more
From the yard: insecticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, poisons, flea control products
From the house: batteries, furniture polish, oven & drain cleaners, hobby & art supplies, fluorescent tubes, mercury devices, and photo chemicals
Important Guidelines:
Keep materials in original containers.
Tighten all caps and lids.
Pack items in sturdy boxes, padded with newspaper.
Never mix chemicals.
Load directly into your car and drive straight to Arsene Street.
Do not bring: empty containers, commercial or industrial waste, radioactive/explosive materials, infectious/biological waste, prescription meds, syringes, fire extinguishers, asbestos, or latex paint (latex paint can go in regular trash).
