The Funky Cat Four presents a riveting, high-energy tribute to the great guitars of the 60s and 70s. It’s an electrifying ride through the evolution of the guitar starting with swing, blues and Boogaloo, culminating in the funk and blues rock of George Benson, Grant Green, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Winter. The musical conversations between guitarists Felix the Funky Cat and Louis LoCicero build to dual guitar frenzies. Their mastery of the artists’ musical styles as well as their use of vintage hollow body jazz guitars for the first set and solid body electrics for the second set give authenticity to a world class performance. With phenom Mike Janelle on six string bass and smoking Dave Chronister on drums, it is an unforgettable show.
