Wellness in Cushman Park Celebrates its Fifteenth Milestone Year of Free Outdoor Health & Wellness!
Wellness in Cushman Park is celebrating a milestone —15 years of Free Community Fitness Classes in nature! That’s a record 300 free fitness classes since 2011.
Wellness in The Park is scheduled FREE TO THE PUBLIC this summer for 10 weeks of Yoga and Qigong classes in Cushman Park, Green Street Fairhaven MA. The classes are taking place Tuesdays and Fridays 8:30am from June 16 to August 21, 2026. This summer marks the 15 th consecutive year of FREE yoga, fitness and wellness classes on the south coast of Massachusetts – that’s a total of 300 classes to boost your wellbeing, raise your spirit and join in caring community!
TUESDAYS: Yoga in the Park begins June 16 with certified yoga instructor David Trauterman. Yoga in the Park is a wonderful yoga series suitable for everyone, whether you're just starting out or have been practicing for a while. It's a warm and welcoming space where beginners can learn basic stretching and mindfulness techniques, while experienced yogis can focus on cultivating compassion for their bodies. Join us to relax, learn, and connect outdoors!
FRIDAYS: Qigong in the Park, begins June 19 with Cristina Corrieri, a Qigong, yoga, meditation, and mindfulness instructor. Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) involves gentle movements that enhance and cultivate your energy, promoting overall health and well-being.
YOGA IN CUSHMAN PARK will be guided by certified yoga instructor David Trauterman. David’s teaching style is peaceful, heartfelt, and joyful. He lovingly incorporates Ananda and Hatha Yoga, enriching his classes with positive affirmations, extended posture holds, meditation, breathwork, and chanting. This approach creates a vibrant, uplifting wellness journey suitable for everyone, no matter their level.
QIGONG IN CUSHMAN PARK instructor Cristina Corrieri rediscovered a passion for mindful movement while struggling with health issues in her early 30s. Her daily Qigong practice reconnected her with her body and guided her toward restoring balance and well-being. This journey inspired her to become certified to teach both Qigong and Yoga, helping others rediscover their inner peace and healing through gentle, mindful movement practices.
Attendees to the classes should bring a mat and water for Yoga and Qigong.
